Ishant first dismissed KL Rahul on the fifth ball of the first over. He bowled it slower, full and around off with the ball shaping away. The LSG skipper was deceived by the swing and pace of the ball and ended up over-committing to the shot. He went through with his lofted shot a bit early, mistimed it high Mukesh Kumar ran backward and fumbled it on his first attempt but managed to hold on to it at behind cover-point.
Then again on the fifth ball of the third over, Ishant got the wicket of Quinton de Kock. He rolled his fingers to take the pace off of the ball as the batter tried to go over mid-on. He failed to get under the ball and ended up hitting it much flatter as Mukesh timed his jump to perfection to take another catch.
