Emirates and MSC Cruises have extended their partnership for two additional seasons, reinforcing Dubai’s status as a key cruise hub. This announcement, made at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, UAE, builds on a decade-long collaboration. The partnership will continue to harness the strengths of both entities to enrich the guest experience and bolster Dubai’s cruise tourism infrastructure.
Over the next two years, travelers can book the Fly&Cruise holiday package through MSC Cruises, which features Emirates round-trip flights from 21 airports in Europe and South America.
Nabil Sultan, Emirates’ Executive Vice President for Passenger Sales and Country Management said: “We’re eager to continue our partnership with MSC Cruises who have been an integral part of Dubai’s growing cruise tourism industry. We’re confident that we have the right plans in place, as we work closely to deliver a seamless sea-to-air experience for our customers. Our partnership with MSC Cruises is also one of the ways we’re working to strengthen Dubai’s position as the world’s preferred winter cruising destination.”
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, said, “We are delighted to further extend our partnership with Emirates for MSC Euribia Fly&Cruise packages from Dubai this winter season. Both Emirates and MSC Cruises are recognised as leaders in their fields, so it’s a perfect match to offer Emirates’ high-quality flight service with the outstanding experience waiting for guests on board our ship. Guests will benefit from a streamlined journey from home to ship and dedicated support team for a stress-free start and end to their holiday.”
The alliance will keep focusing on joint promotional activities, including the Fly&Cruise initiative, and marketing efforts in critical markets to enhance Dubai’s allure as a cruise destination. Both companies will share crucial data and insights to refine service quality, coordinate flight and cruise schedules, and streamline the check-in process at Port Rashid.
The Fly&Cruise packages offer numerous conveniences, such as dedicated bus transfers from the airport to the ship and luggage check-in at the cruise terminal for direct collection at the final destination.
Leveraging Emirates’ global network, the MSC Fly&Cruise packages include flights from major cities across Europe and São Paulo. At Port Rashid, Emirates offers dedicated check-in counters where cruise passengers can check in their luggage and obtain boarding passes up to four hours before their flight, allowing them to proceed directly to their departure gate.
Soon, American travelers will also have the option to book their Emirates flights through MSC Cruises from major U.S. cities including New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Orlando, and Washington*.
For the winter 2024/25 season, MSC Cruises’ flagship, MSC Euribia, will operate from Dubai, UAE, offering 7-night cruises to destinations such as Doha, Bahrain, and Abu Dhabi, with some itineraries including Sir Bani Yas – the UAE’s largest natural island known for its beautiful beaches and diverse wildlife.
