Nothing could use CMF brand to launch its first budget 5G phone
CMF Phone 1 launch is expected soon and the budget 5G phone could bring a lot of bright surprises to the market.
Nothing has launched its first phone under Rs 25,000 in the Indian market with the Phone 2a this year. And soon, the brand could enter the budget phone segment courtesy its sub-brand CMF. New reports coming this week hint at the CMF Phone 1 launch in India soon and this could be the first device from the brand that could be priced below Rs 15,000.
Nothing CMF Phone 1 Launch Details: What Reports Say
The details about the CMF Phone 1 come via sources in a report by 91Mobiles. The upcoming budget phone is expected to be priced around Rs 12,000 and powered by a MediaTek 5G chipset. The company is tipped to use a polycarbonate body that will come in Black, White and Orange colour for the CMF Phone 1. We don’t expect CMF to follow the transparent design route like its parent company and that’s fine.
The Phone 1 from CMF is likely to pack a 5000mAh battery that offers 33W wired charging speed. Nothing could offer a toned-down version of the Nothing OS on the CMF Phone 1 which will make it really appealing for buyers with its no-bloatware, clean UI approach.
Most phones in the budget segment come with bloatware and push ads, Nothing could finally help people with a solution for the problem.
The report also points out that Phone 1 will feature a 6.5-inch display, mostly likely to be an LCD panel but offer 120Hz refresh rate, as others in the range do. Nothing will provide three years of Android upgrades and four years of security updates for the CMF Phone 1, it adds.
The device has already made its way to India’s certification bodies which suggests the official launch of the CMF Phone 1 might not be far away. The CMF sub-brand made its debut with the budget TWS earbuds and neckband earphones earlier this year.
